Spring brings life back to everything. In order to promote the 28th youth patriotism reading education activities, on the afternoon of March 10th, the Chinese group of Anqing Foreign Language School's Senior High Department held a speech contest in the lecture hall for students from the Senior High Department. The competition was presided over by Deputy Director Xu Haihong of the Senior High Department and the teachers with the Chinese group were the judges.
Specifically, thirty-nine contestants expressed their love for the Party and the motherland closely centering on the theme of ‘Always Follow the Party and Strive for a New Journey’, who interpreted their pride of being Chinese with sincere emotions. In addition, they warmly eulogized the glorious course of the Communist Party of China over the past 100 years, which showcased students' love for the motherland and their enterprising spirit in the new era. After more than two hours of intense competition, the judges selected 5 first prize winners, namely Ma Jingyi, Tan Na, Cao Lechen, Jin Yuxian and Yang Yi, 11 second prize winners and 23 third class winners.
To conclude, this activity not only cultivated and demonstrated the spirit of patriotism, enriched students' school life, improved  students' expressive language skills, but also inspired their patriotic enthusiasm so that they would turn patriotism into a driving force to pursue excellence, and eventually grow into pillars of our country with  ideals, abilities and responsibilities!
